Seaford Pharmaceuticals’ Ongoing Support for Glen Vincent Health Centre Through Adopt-A-Clinic Program

At Seaford Pharmaceuticals, we are proud to be part of an ongoing initiative that began on December 14, 2019, when we partnered with the Glen Vincent Health Centre under the impactful Adopt-A-Clinic Program.

The Glen Vincent Health Centre, nestled at Trevennion Park Road, St Andrew, and classified as a Type III clinic, holds a special place within the community. Serving as the only pediatric health center within the South East Regional Health Authority (SERHA), its role in providing essential healthcare services is invaluable.

In the presence of our esteemed President, Tamara Seales, and under the leadership of our CEO, Ron Seales, we committed to providing crucial funds for the acquisition of clinical equipment, essential office supplies, and the execution of minor infrastructure repairs and maintenance. This commitment was driven by our shared vision to bolster the operational capacity of the health center, ensuring uninterrupted access to high-quality medical care for those it serves.

Julian Robinson, Member of Parliament for St. Andrew South Eastern, echoed the importance of public-private collaborations like the Adopt-A-Clinic program. He emphasized their role in improving the quality of care, particularly for those who depend on public health facilities as their primary source of medical assistance.

Rooted in our President’s deep commitment to giving back to the community, and as highlighted by our CEO, Ron Seales, who lived in Jamaica for several years, our participation in the Adopt-A-Clinic program was not just a contribution but a heartfelt endeavor to make a positive impact on healthcare services.

The Adopt-A-Clinic initiative, an integral facet of the Ministry’s primary care response, aims to uplift health centers across Jamaica in collaboration with individuals and companies both locally and within the Diaspora. The goal is to enhance these facilities’ capabilities, allowing them to provide top-notch care at the grassroots level.

As of the close of 2019, the Adopt-A-Clinic program had successfully led to the adoption of 19 clinics, with 15 launches that had already taken place. Three additional clinics were poised for adoption in the first quarter of 2020. The collective commitment from donors for these clinics totaled an impressive $57.4 million over three years, averaging $19.1 million annually.

Seaford Pharmaceuticals takes immense pride in its role within this transformative initiative, exemplifying our unwavering commitment to community support. Through collaborations of this nature, we seek to create a positive impact in the lives of Jamaicans and contribute to fostering a healthier future for all.
